“It is difficult to put into words how important home ownership is. Owning a home gives one stability, pride, and financial security in an asset that will increase in value over time -- a rarity in this age of disposable products.  And for people with disabilities, home ownership is even more critical.  They can modify the home to suit their access needs, and not be forced to find elusive accessible and affordable housing when their landlord decides to raise the rent or sell the property in which they reside.  Of course, some individuals with disabilities need to take advantage of affordable home ownership options.

For all of the reasons noted above, Stephen Beard's work as a realtor is indispensable.  As a person with a disability himself, Stephen understands the unique access needs of homebuyers with disabilities. And because he knows the affordable home ownership options that exist in the Bay Area, many more people can achieve the dream of home ownership.  We are indeed fortunate to have Stephen working for our community!"
